Saudi Arabia has announced it will change all its streetlights to LED to conserve energy, making it the first G20 country to do so.

During the opening day of the Global Project Management Forum 2024, which is being held in Riyadh from June 2 to 3, Mohammed Muaafa, the technical services director of Tarshid, a national energy company, stated during a panel titled "Saudi Vision 2030 Outlook" that the company has worked on numerous projects to conserve electricity in various types of commercial and residential projects throughout the Kingdom.
